Invaio Sciences, a bioplatform company under Flagship Pioneering based in Cambridge, US, focused on accelerating the leap to sustainable agriculture, has appointed Andre Andonian as the new Chairman of its Board of Directors.
As per a news release, Andonian will play a key role in guiding Invaio’s strategic direction, fostering partnerships, and scaling its innovative solutions to meet the challenges of modern agriculture. His appointment reflects Invaio’s continued dedication to building a leadership team with the expertise and vision to drive meaningful change in the global agricultural sector. Robert Berendes, who has held the position since 2019, will step down as Chairman but will remain on the board.
Andonian currently serves as Chair of Asia Pacific and Strategic Advisor at Flagship Pioneering, collaborating with Ignacio Martinez on initiatives to transform agriculture through natural crop protection solutions. With over 30 years of experience as a Senior Partner Emeritus at McKinsey & Company, he has held various leadership roles and advised clients across a range of industries globally. His past roles also include positions at Masco Corporation and IBM, and he is active on several boards, including ADI, AEM Holdings and Cognaize.
