AgroLiquid, based in St. Johns, Michigan, provides high-efficiency crop liquid fertilizer solutions, has announced the acquisition of Monty’s Plant Food Company, a Louisville-based company specializing in soil health and plant nutrition technology. The acquisition, effective January 1, 2025, combines two family-founded companies that are committed to improving agriculture and supporting farmers.
Synergy Between AgroLiquid and Monty’s Plant Food
AgroLiquid manufactures and distributes high-efficiency liquid fertilizers designed to protect nutrients from environmental loss. These fertilizers are formulated to work with soil biology, making them more effective for crop use. The company’s ongoing research and focus on ethical business practices drive its mission to “Prosper the Farmer.”
Monty’s Plant Food Company specializes in plant and soil enhancement products, utilizing proprietary humic technology in combination with traditional nutrients. The company offers environmentally responsible solutions aimed at maximizing crop yields. Monty’s has long been a trusted advisor in the agricultural community, delivering proven results to farmers worldwide.
This acquisition brings together AgroLiquid’s expertise in liquid fertilizers with Monty’s focus on soil health and humic technology. While the two companies will continue to operate independently during the 2025 growing season, their shared commitment to farmer success will guide the integration of their operations.
“This strategic combination allows us to bring crop nutrition technologies to growers that wouldn’t otherwise be available to them. While both companies share the same goals in advancing agricultural innovation, our different approaches to achieving them will create new opportunities to optimize nutrient efficiency and productivity for growers.”
“Joining forces with AgroLiquid marks an exciting new chapter for Monty’s Plant Food. Our shared farmer-first philosophy and commitment to innovation made this a natural fit. By combining our complementary strengths, weʼre positioned to deliver even greater value to the agricultural industry.”

This move aims to enhance the operational efficiency and reach of both AgroLiquid and Monty’s, allowing for better service and support for farmers in the future.
