A vibrant showcase of innovation unfolded at the Agritech Pavilion of Startup Mahakumbh 2025, held at Bharat Mandapam from April 3–5, where over 100 agritech startups demonstrated advanced solutions aimed at transforming Indian agriculture. The pavilion was a mega attraction of the summit, which saw participation from more than 3,000 startups, 1,000 investors and incubators and delegates from over 50 countries.
Curated under the theme “Startup India 2047—Unfolding the Bharat Story,” the pavilion offered a glimpse into the future of farming, where AI, IoT, drones and renewable technologies intersect with India’s rural economy.
Pushing the Frontiers of Agri-Fintech
Among the headline participants was Dhavalas, whose agri-fintech arm Dhavala Venture Finance showcased an integrated financial and farm services platform. The company aims to quadruple farmer incomes by enabling a shift from subsistence crops to high-value horticulture and medicinal plants. For its farmer-first approach and innovation, Dhavalas was conferred the Aavishkaar Kisan Kranti Award at the agritech pavilion of Startup Mahakumbh.
Drones, Robots, and Autonomous Farming
Firms like Vyomik, Bharat Rohan, Qoptars, Vaimanika Aerospace‘s VA10, Thanos‘s SYENA H1oi and VIMAANA Aerospace brought attention to India’s growing fleet of agricultural drones. Vyomik’s SID-A415 drone, equipped with a 15-litre tank and terrain-tracking radar, supports efficient crop spraying over large fields. VIMAANA showcased KrishiRaj 1.0, a smart 10-litre drone with intelligent flight modes, obstacle avoidance and real-time video streaming.
JyoSH AI Solutions, meanwhile, introduced Rebot, an electric vehicle tractor capable of seed sowing, AI-powered weed removal, and cotton harvesting—streamlining multiple farm operations with a single platform.
Soil, Sensors, and Smart Irrigation
Tadoba Solutions, incubated at IIT Bhilai, presented a modular farm intelligence system featuring AquaLoRa irrigation controllers, pest monitors, and gas detectors. Similarly, Mobitech launched a smart irrigation suite powered by LoRa mesh networking to automate water and nutrient delivery.
In the soil diagnostics space, ScaNxt, also from IIT Kanpur, debuted Bhu-Parikshak, a device that conducts real-time soil testing within 90 seconds, coupled with a solar-powered dryer for post-harvest efficiency.
Urban Farming and Hydroponics
For city dwellers and controlled-environment agriculture, MACRO Gardens impressed visitors with its vertical hydroponics systems, which consume 90% less water and eliminate the need for soil. Isaayu Agritech offered smart terrace farms and plug-and-play hydroponic kits under its Agri360 brand, blending urban lifestyles with sustainable agriculture.
AI in Livestock and Dairy
Areete unveiled a digital cattle health monitoring system, Ayushman CowFit, providing real-time alerts on rumination, heat cycles, and vaccinations—integrated with an intuitive mobile and AR interface. Likewise, eVerse.AI, in collaboration with NDDB, introduced ConnectedCow, an AI-powered dairy management platform for 24/7 monitoring of cattle behavior and productivity.
AquaTech and Blue Economy
Aquaculture had its own champions. NextAqua launched AquaBot, a robotic pond feeder that ensures even feed distribution, minimizes waste, and can be remotely operated via smartphone. Aqua Doctor Solutions, a Kolkata-based consultancy, debuted the Matsya Sathi App, a digital platform for end-to-end aquaculture and fisheries management.
ThinkRaw’s Dhivara Mitra, a solar-powered IoT device for fish farming, and JyoSH AI Solutions’ underwater fish detection systems also stood out among blue tech innovations.
Greener Inputs and Bio-Based Solutions
In the biological inputs segment, BioFizz showcased India’s first effervescent tablets for plant nutrition—products like BOSS Advance (zinc), Frugenta (fruit quality), and Seaweed Supreme for stress resistance—providing sustainable alternatives to chemical fertilizers.
NutriNxt introduced an organic hydrogel that retains moisture, improves soil fertility, and increases crop yields, particularly suited to dryland agriculture.
Solar and Renewable Integration
Companies such as Niyo displayed solar- and battery-operated spray pumps suitable for a range of crops, focusing on affordability and accessibility for rural women farmers.
AiRotor Technologies offered AiServe V1.0, a drone-enabled inspection system for renewable energy infrastructure—solar panels, wind turbines, and more—bridging agritech with cleantech.
End-to-End Farm Management Platforms
Digital platforms like MeriSristi attracted attention for their AI-driven farm management tools offering irrigation schedules, pest alerts, weather insights, and drone integration, all geared toward productivity enhancement.
BharatRohan, leveraging drones and hyperspectral imaging, offered personalized crop health reports and traceable farming practices, aimed at helping farmers reduce chemical use and enhance sustainability.
Bhoomicam’s satellite-based platform delivered stress detection, weather data, and decision support services to farmers and agribusinesses alike.
Mechanization and MSME Support
Startups like AgroSure, backed by IIT Kanpur’s Startup Incubation Centre, promoted mini-machines such as power weeders, mini dall mills, and seed drills making mechanization accessible to small and marginal farmers. Other startups included Krishigati, Niyo, SP Agro Innovators and more.

Beyond Showcase: Entrepreneurial Opportunities and Global Exchange
Building on the massive success of its previous edition, this year’s Startup Mahakumbh adopted a more interactive and entrepreneurial format. Besides the pavilion, the agenda included an Agri-Bazaar, bespoke masterclasses, live mentoring, and panel discussions with top agritech experts. A flagship addition this year was the Startup Maharathi Challenge, a high-impact platform with a funding pool of INR 30 Crore, offering early, to growth-stage startups access to capital, mentorship and national recognition.
The Startup Mahakumbh was curated by an Organizing Committee led by FICCI, and powered by ASSOCHAM, NASSCOM, TiE, IVCA, and the Bootstrap Foundation, with institutional support from the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT). At a special evening hosted at Vanijya Bhawan, delegates from 30+ countries, including representatives from Argentina, Azerbaijan, Italy, and Mexico, engaged in discussions aimed at international collaboration and knowledge exchange in innovation and entrepreneurship.
Pravidhan FPCL clinched the Aavishkaar Ultimate Agritech Pitch title and a INR 300,000 prize, while GRAMSE Agritech (HOYT) secured the Runner-Up position, winning INR 200,000.
“Startup Mahakumbh embodies India’s dynamic spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship, helping Indian startups scale internationally. By inviting global innovators to explore the limitless opportunities in Bharat, is a powerful signal of the shared vision we hold for a truly interconnected startup landscape.”
