Mumbai based agritech company Khetika has raised US$ 18 million (approximately INR 154 crore) in its Series B funding round to accelerate brand building, scale its manufacturing footprint, expand into international markets, and introduce new preservative free product lines, while strengthening its tech enabled supply chain.

The investment was led by Narotam Sekhsaria Family Office and Anicut Capital, with participation from existing investors including Incofin India Progress Fund, Rajasthan Gum, and Shree Ram India Gums. About 70% of the funds were raised as primary capital, while the remaining 30% facilitated a secondary exit for early investors such as SIDBI Venture Capital. This round brings Khetika’s total funding to date to approximately US$ 25 million.

Revenue Growth and Expansion Plans

The company closed FY25 with INR 247 crore in revenue, marking a more than 50% increase from the previous year’s INR 160 crore. Khetika now targets a nearly 10 fold revenue jump to INR 2,000 crore over the next three years. This growth is expected to be driven by expansion across distribution channels, foray into international markets, product innovation, and brand development.

Khetika currently operates plants in Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, and Bihar. It is scaling its manufacturing footprint to 20 cities initially and eventually to 40 cities, using a nano plant model. Recent investments include a batter plant in Delhi and a spice processing unit in Unjha, Gujarat.

International Markets and Brand Strategy

With rising global demand for high quality Indian staples, Khetika is eyeing market expansion into Europe, MENA, and the US. Parallelly, the company is working on building a robust clean label brand by enhancing consumer awareness and launching new preservative free products in both ambient and chilled food categories. These products will leverage traditional methods such as stone ground processing and natural fermentation.

Technology Driven Supply Chain

Founded in 2017 by Dr. Prithwi Singh, Darshan Krishnamurthy and Raghuveer Allada, Khetika has developed a tech enabled supply chain that directly connects with over 25,000 farmers across 14 Indian states via its B2B platform, SuperZop. The supply chain uses proprietary SuperGRT technology, alongside IoT and ERP systems to ensure traceability, quality assurance and nutritional integrity. A centralized repackaging centre manages the cleaning, processing, and packaging of products, while EV based last mile delivery reduces carbon emissions and food waste.

Product Portfolio and Quality Assurance

Khetika’s offerings span a wide range of food products including fresh batters and chutneys (such as idli, dosa and sprouted moong chilla), staple grains, millets, stone ground flours, dry fruits, makhana, pulses and confectionery grade chocolate ingredients. All products are free from additives and preservatives, and comply with international food safety and quality standards while retaining authentic flavors and nutritional value.

Distribution Channels and Market Reach

The company’s distribution spans multiple formats. Quick commerce platforms such as Zepto, Blinkit, and Swiggy Instamart now account for 25% of its revenue and represent its fastest growing sales channel. Traditional retail and e-commerce platforms like Amazon, Flipkart, and DMart continue to play a vital role. The SuperZop B2B network, connecting directly with grocers and kirana stores, contributes approximately 75% of total revenue.

Khetika’s EV based delivery fleet and climate conscious logistics operations support its scalability goals and reduce its environmental impact.

Social and Environmental Commitment

Khetika actively promotes the use of climate friendly millets and traditional grains over water intensive staples. Its lean supply chain is designed to reduce food waste while enabling lower greenhouse gas emissions. The company’s mission is to deliver clean, honest food with the same convenience as instant noodles, without artificial additives.

Commenting on the investment, Adithya Bharadwaj, Principal at Anicut Capital, stated, “Indian households increasingly demand clean label, health focused foods that deliver on nutrition and transparency, precisely what Khetika provides. Prithwi, Raghu, Darshan and the Khetika team have demonstrated an exceptional grasp of sourcing networks, product development and the retail distribution landscape, and have built technology that drives measurable impact across the supply chain.”

With a robust supply network, product range, and growth roadmap, Khetika is positioning itself to scale across Indian and international markets, catering to evolving consumer preferences for clean, traceable and preservative free food products.
