Loveland Products, the proprietary products company under Nutrien Ag Solutions, has announced the rollout of three newly formulated crop input solutions, BLACKMAX WSG, Radiate Plus and Prevade. Designed with field specific challenges in mind, these solutions address critical agronomic factors such as soil health, early stage root development and herbicide activation, providing growers with more adaptive tools to optimize productivity and return on investment throughout the growing season.
The introduction marks a deepening of Loveland’s product offerings across Nutrien’s agronomic services, targeting practical improvements in nutrient availability, stress mitigation, and crop resilience in response to varying soil and weather conditions. The Loveland’s new lineup will be showcased at the 2025 Ag in Motion expo, scheduled for July 15-17 in Langham, Saskatchewan.
BLACKMAX WSG: Supporting Soil Function and Unlocking Tied Up Nutrients
BLACKMAX WSG brings Loveland’s proprietary carbon based formulation to growers in a dry, water soluble format tailored to integrate with existing dry fertilizer programs. The product uses C2 Technology, a proprietary carbon extraction and reaction method, designed to enhance nutrient chelation, promote microbial activity, and improve root uptake in soils that are often compacted or nutrient limited.
The Loveland’s product enhances nutrient availability by unlocking nutrients that are typically bound in the soil. It is also designed for easy integration into dry fertilizer programs, making it both practical and effective. By enabling more efficient access to previously unavailable nutrients, BLACKMAX WSG enhances long term soil productivity while supporting crop development under challenging field conditions.
Radiate Plus: Enhancing Early Season Root and Shoot Growth
Radiate Plus enters the market as a foliar applied growth stimulant and micronutrient package intended to improve early plant development. It combines Indole-3-butyric acid (IBA) and Kinetin with a balanced formulation of macro and micronutrients. This composition is tailored to improve root depth and density, giving crops a better foundation to access water and nutrients during early growth stages.
Western farmers frequently face unpredictable moisture conditions, ranging from excessive water to periods of drought. Radiate Plus supports the development of deeper, more resilient root systems, enabling plants to access water and nutrients more efficiently under these challenging conditions. Radiate Plus is compatible with a wide range of tank mix partners and can be seamlessly deployed in early season crop plans across diverse crop types including canola, cereals, soybeans, lentils, peas, corn and potatoes.
Prevade: Strengthening Herbicide Retention in Soil
Prevade is a Loveland’s pre plant and pre emergent utility modifier that enhances herbicide efficiency by addressing one of the key variables in crop protection: soil behavior under moisture fluctuations. Developed as a vegetable oil based soil modifier, Prevade improves herbicide deposition and retention, reducing the risk of leaching and lateral displacement following irrigation or rainfall.
Prevade provides an effective solution for protecting herbicide applications. It helps retain herbicides in the weed control zone, ensuring more consistent early season weed management, particularly in the variable soil conditions commonly found in the Prairies. With its targeted action zone, Prevade extends the duration of weed control while enhancing herbicide activation in crops like canola, cereals, soybeans, peas and lentils.

Aligned Agronomy with Regional Field Conditions
According to Jesse Hamonic, Vice President and Country Head of Nutrien Ag Solutions Canada, the product introductions are grounded in the Loveland’s broader goal of aligning product development with practical field performance. “Each of these products was selected for their ability to meet the specific needs of today’s farmers, performance under pressure, compatibility with existing programs, and support for whole acre ROI,” Hamonic said.
He emphasized the role of Nutrien’s agronomists in supporting growers with site specific application strategies. “Our agronomists understand local conditions and crop systems,” he said. “When farmers partner with us, they gain access to expert insight, personalized recommendations, and world class stewardship.”
Loveland Products’ expanded portfolio will be on display at the 2025 Ag in Motion exhibition, where farmers and industry stakeholders will have the opportunity to engage with technical teams and explore the application potential of each new solution in live demonstration zones.
