This strategic agreement is aimed at enhancing the quality, frequency and reach of agricultural intelligence services by combining Planet’s Earth observation capabilities with Farmdar’s artificial intelligence based crop analytics.
The partnership grants Farmdar access to Planet’s deep archive of PlanetScope satellite data, including Planet Basemaps. This archive consists of near daily, high resolution imagery, which will be integrated directly into Farmdar’s AI platform to support a wide range of agricultural applications. The data is expected to serve as a foundational input for building high accuracy insights related to crop type detection, geographical boundary mapping and identification of arable land.
