A dedicated online portal has been launched to monitor the National Mission on Natural Farming (NMNF), aimed at offering transparent, real time insights into the initiative’s implementation and outcomes across India. Accessible to the public at NMNF monitoring platform, the portal serves as a central digital interface for stakeholders including farmers, government officials, and civil society.

The NMNF portal is equipped with real time data tracking capabilities, presenting continuous updates on activities from national to village levels. It displays dashboards summarizing coverage, implementation status and impact metrics. Geo tagged data integration allows mapping of activities such as cluster formations, demonstration plots and Bio Input Resource Centre (BRC) establishments. Stakeholders can use interactive maps to access region specific information about mission activities.

The platform enables users to track enrollment of farmers, categorized by state, district and block and includes training records from Centers of Natural Farming. Workshops, campaigns and awareness events are listed with schedules and outcome documentation.

Showcasing Demonstration Farms and Training Hubs

The portal tracks the establishment of model farms, which serve as live sites for natural farming demonstrations and farmer training. These locations act as practical learning hubs for nearby communities. Each site’s performance and operational data are accessible, highlighting the extent of hands on learning opportunities available across participating regions.

Support Infrastructure and Certification Mechanism

Details of Bio-Input Resource Centres, which provide inputs like bio fertilizers, are maintained on the portal, with data on capacity, location and usage. The portal also manages the certification process for natural farming practitioners, allowing application submissions and tracking certification status. Official guidelines and eligibility criteria for certification are available for reference.

Connecting Farmers to Markets

The portal includes features to improve market access for natural farming producers. Notices about exhibitions, buyer-seller meets and market linkage programs are updated regularly. The database includes lists of certified producers and offers mechanisms for buyers to establish direct contact. These updates are intended to improve outreach and sales for smallholder producers.

Structured Policy Oversight and Adaptive Governance

Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare officials utilize the portal’s dashboards to monitor mission progress, validate field level activities, and implement mid course corrections based on data insights. Feedback channels built into the portal enable receipt of inputs from farmers, implementing agencies and civil society groups.

Operational guidelines, training videos, case studies, FAQs, and a detailed knowledge repository are hosted to support field level execution. Manuals and standard operating procedures are also available to ensure uniformity in implementation.

Access, Usage and Data Validation

The portal is freely accessible to farmers, the general public, civil society actors and research institutions. Government functionaries have role based access to upload and verify implementation data. Field officers and cluster leaders are tasked with submitting geo tagged, timestamped photos and records to ensure field authenticity. Automated verification systems enhance data integrity.

Strategic Importance and National Objectives

The portal plays a central role in supporting the NMNF’s target of transitioning one crore farmers toward natural farming. The mission focuses on reducing dependence on agrochemicals, lowering input costs, and restoring soil and ecosystem health. It emphasizes livestock based farming systems and diversified cropping patterns rooted in Indian traditional knowledge.

By enabling direct tracking of resource allocation, performance metrics and policy execution, the portal strengthens transparency and accountability in mission delivery. The data driven structure supports evidence based policymaking, equitable funding decisions and real time performance reviews.

How to Navigate the Platform

The portal is organized by thematic areas such as Activities, Cluster Information, Capacity Building, Market Linkage, Certification and Guidelines. Detailed operational documents, package of practices and policy notifications are available for download. Visitors can also refer to official releases and updates from the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare.

Through this initiative, the government aims to promote ecological farming practices that enhance climate resilience, boost rural livelihoods and offer consumers safer food. The digital monitoring system underpins the broader goal of reshaping agriculture through chemical free, locally adapted practices anchored in a natural ecosystem framework.
