PRYM Aerospace Receives DGCA Nod for Agri Drone Arjuna

Maharashtra based drone manufacturer PRYMA (PRYM aerospace) has received certification from Directorate General of Civil Aviation’s (DGCA) certification for its flagship Arjuna drone. The certification will enable the company to deploy the drone for assisting agricultural practices. As per PRYM Group founder and CEO, Dhanashree Mandhani, the Jalna drone manufacturing facility received DGCA certification from Maharashtra deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

This certification is more than a regulatory milestone; it is proof that India can build and scale world-class indigenous drone technology.

She also added that this development comes at a time when the aviation safety regulator recently approved PRYMA’s Drone School of Excellence as a Remote Pilot Training Organisation (RPTO). The institute will be nation’s first end to end pathway for drone manufacturing, pilot training, and large scale deployment through Salam Kisan’s nationwide platform. Earlier this year, the company signed a US$ 33.985 million MoU with the Maharashtra government at the World Economic Forum in Davos with an aim to facilitate drone expansion and skill adoption. In collaboration with Salam Kisan, PRYM Group has already empowered three lakh farmers with drone spraying and precision farming solutions, the CEO stated.

The PRYM Group CEO, Dhanashree Mandhani also stated that after receiving DGCA approval for both training and hardware the company is fully prepared to scale Salam Kisan’s services on a pan India basis and which will build a sustainable ecosystem for farmers and rural entrepreneurs. Drone technology is being increasingly adopted for smart crop monitoring, detailed soil and water management, and enhanced spraying of pesticides and fertilizers to improve crop yields and reduce wastage. PYRMA’s Arjuna drone is positioned to deliver scalable spraying services, precision agriculture outcomes and cost savings.
