PRYM Group Secures ₹214M for Agritech Growth

PRYM Group, an Indian agritech company, has raised ₹ 214 million ($2.36 million) in pre-IPO funding to scale its business, focusing on drones, AI based crop solutions, and UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) manufacturing. The funding round valued the company at ₹3 billion ($33.81 million), which can provide a major boost for the company ahead of its anticipated IPO.

The funding saw participation from Utpal Sheth, former CEO of Rare Enterprises, alongside promoters from Lloyd Metals, Shilpa Medicare, Thriveni Group, and Sangam Group, among others.

PRYM Group focuses on advancing the agriculture ecosystem through the integration of AI based tools and precision agriculture techniques.

Through the funding, PRYM Group will expand its Salam Kisan’s ‘drone-as-a-service’ network. Salam Kisan is a tech-driven agriculture platform aimed at boosting farmer productivity and profitability through data-driven insights. The company will also focus on leveraging PRYM Aerospace, DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation)-certified PRYM Drone School of Excellence (RPTO), AI-based crop advisory, indigenous UAV manufacturing, fleet management systems, and drone pilot training through this funding.

The scaling of company operations is focused at indigenisation of agri-drones, propulsion systems, and fleet management hardware, and developing next-generation drones for agritech industry. PRYM Group’s integrated, tech-driven agriculture ecosystem can combine indigenous drone manufacturing, AI-powered crop advisory, and DGCA-certified pilot training, with a focus on sustainable operations that may help boost farm productivity and advance India’s self-reliance in agritech.

Scaling Arjuna Drone Operations

Recently, PYRMA ((PRYM aerospace) received certification DGCA certification for its flagship Arjuna agri drone, enabling the company to deploy the drone for assisting agricultural practices.The Arjuna drone program is aimed at expanding opportunities for training rural pilots and agri-entrepreneurs, while fostering youth employment, skill development, and sustainability under the Aatmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan.

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) recently approved PRYMA’s Drone School of Excellence as a Remote Pilot Training Organisation (RPTO) in India. Acoording to CEO Dhanashree Mandhani, the institute will be the nation’s first end to end pathway for drone manufacturing, pilot training, and large scale deployment through Salam Kisan’s nationwide platform. Through this initiative the company is working to build a pan India sustainable ecosystem for farmers and rural entrepreneurs.

Earlier this year, the company signed a $ 33.985 million MoU with the Maharashtra government at the World Economic Forum in Davos, with an aim to facilitate drone expansion and skill adoption. In collaboration with Salam Kisan, PRYM Group has already empowered three lakh farmers with drone spraying and precision farming solutions, the CEO stated.

Drone technology is being increasingly adopted for smart crop monitoring, detailed soil and water management, and enhanced spraying of pesticides and fertilizers to improve crop yields and reduce wastage. PYRMA’s Arjuna drone is aimed at delivering scalable spraying services, precision agriculture outcomes, and cost savings.

Scaling Arjuna Dorne operations will priortise driving opportunities for franchise partners, distributors, and institutional buyers such as plantations, commercial estates, private universities, and CSR initiatives. Increased scaling across the supply chain will provide opportunities for franchisees and distributors to develop farmers’ ability to build sustainable businesses for anticipated market behavior.

PYRMA’s Arjuna drone is indigenously designed and manufactured at PRYMA’s research and development (R&D) hub in Jalna. The technology is built to ensure compliance, offer local service support, lower downtime, and seamlessly integrate into Salam Kisan’s digital ecosystem.

PRYM aims to offer a consolidated ecosystem by aligning certified hardware with DGCA-approved pilot training. Salam Kisan’s farmer marketplace and after sales support can help buyers generate demand and scale services from day one.
