TRACT, a Dutch software platform for managing sustainability data in the agriculture and food sector, has raised €18.6M in a Series A round led by climate tech investor Icos Capital, with participation from Invest International, Future Food Fund, Rabo Investments, Pymwymic, and Working Capital Fund.
TRACT was founded by four food and agriculture companies, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM), Cargill, Louis Dreyfus Company, and Olam Food Ingredients (OFI) in collaboration with other supply chain companies.
Sourcing leaders are under pressure to manage more risk, more data, and more complexity than ever before. This funding accelerates our next phase of growth as we scale the platform and support the companies shaping the future of responsible sourcing.
The software platform is used by CPG brands and commodity traders to collect, organize, and analyze data across their supply chains. It allows users to map supply chain networks, identify potential risks in sourcing, and monitor supplier performance.
By providing a centralized view of suppliers, shipments, and sourcing activities, the platform aims to enhance decision making and helps companies respond to disruptions, changing market conditions, and regulatory requirements.
Facilitating Risk Compliance
TRACT’s clients use the platform to link supplier data directly with the insights needed to manage risk and strengthen resilience. The company seeks to serve as a global bridge between supplier information and procurement processes.

The funding will support the expansion of TRACT’s platform, its integration with existing data systems, and the onboarding of global clients managing complex sourcing portfolios. This reflects a broader movement in agrifood toward scalable, secure infrastructure for managing supply chains and sustainability initiatives.
Supply chain traceability is key to preventing deforestation and making emissions transparent. Through our Collaborative Venturing Platform with leading agrifood and chemical corporates, we back innovations like TRACT that turn complex supply chain data into real climate action.
With climate volatility and new regulations, such as the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), reshaping global sourcing, companies face growing pressure to manage risk and maintain transparency. The platform supports agrifood businesses by integrating supplier data, streamlining compliance, and enhancing long-term supply chain resilience.
Turning Data Into Actionable Insights
TRACT aims to turn data visibility into actionable insights, supporting a more sustainable global food system. The company also seeks to broaden its shareholder base to strengthen its collaborative, industry-led approach.
Kai-Uwe Ostheim, VP of Sustainability Portfolio at ADM, said that as a founding partner of TRACT, ADM supports a platform that provides greater clarity and insight into global agrifood supply chains. He noted that the platform helps companies manage sourcing risk, collaborate across the supply chain, and make data-driven decisions to improve the efficiency and reliability of the food system.
It has always been the purpose of TRACT to broaden the shareholder base to reinforce the for-the-industry, by-the-industry thinking of the venture. Bringing this meaningful group on board now not only safeguards TRACT’s growth trajectory in the coming period of time, it also showcases the broadening of the TRACT movement.
According to TRAT, the company is working with clients to prepare for the upcoming EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) and other regulations as they come. As sustainability goals grow and sourcing becomes more unpredictable, TRACT tools can enhance operational and strategic decisions in the agrifood sector.
Ed Marcum, Managing Partner at Working Capital Fund, said TRACT is tackling a major challenge in global agriculture by helping make sustainability measurable and actionable. He noted that the platform gives supply chain stakeholders the visibility needed to support responsible sourcing. He further added that Working Capital Fund is backing TRACT as it develops tools to make responsible sourcing more practical.
