Wavar, an Indian agritech company, has launched a nationwide distributor campaign to expand access to Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and strengthen its partner network across India.

The initiative aims to make sustainable, residue-free farming practices accessible to farmers in every village by onboarding committed district-level distributors, ensuring that high-quality IPM solutions and timely technical support reach even the most remote farming communities in India.

Founded in 2020, Wavar has vast network across states of Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Karnataka, with district distributors active in regions such as Ahilyanagar, Satara, Amravati, Dhule, Nashik, Jalgaon, Gondia, Bahraich, Shrawasti, Indore, and Davangere.

IPM in Every Village

According to Wavar, their technology-driven operational model facilitates seamless business tracking, inventory management, and farmer engagement. This is key to their efficiency. Complementing this is Wavar’s Mitra–Saheli network, which strengthens their reach through a hub-and-spoke structure, empowering trained village-level entrepreneurs to raise IPM awareness and deliver localized farming solutions across rural India.

The company has built an extensive network that integrates technical training, marketing support, business guidance, and after-sales services, enabling distributors to sell products effectively while fostering long-term trust with farmers. This collaborative approach is designed to positions distributors as key growth partners in the company’s broader mission of promoting sustainable rural development.

Our vision is to create a distribution ecosystem that doesn’t just deliver products—it delivers purpose. By partnering with passionate distributors, we aim to help farmers reduce chemical dependency, lower input costs, and protect soil health for future generations.

Through this nationwide campaign, Wavar aims to reinforce its broader vision of Har Gaon IPM’ (IPM in every village), bringing Integrated Pest Management to every Indian village. By integrating technology, entrepreneurship, and farmer-centric solutions, the company seeks to build a resilient and profitable agricultural future for India.

Scaling Integrated Pest Management

In a recent collaboration Wavar integrated its IPM portfolio with Samunnati’s network of more than 30,000 Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs), Farmer Producer Company (FPCs), and Cluster-Based Business Organization (CBBOs). The partnership currently covers more than 600 FPOs/FPCs, aiming to reach 1,500+ soon. Farmers adopting the IPM model through the Samunnati partnership can potentially reduce pesticide usage by up to 50%, increase yields, and cultivate crops that meet international low-residue standards.

The organisation has partnered with more than 50 FPOs across states like Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka and Gujarat, covering pilot plots of over 1,000 acres. In Karnataka, Wavar joined forces with the Krushikalpa Foundation, working with 35 FPCs, to implement IPM on 4,200 acres for crops including soybean, gram, maize, turmeric, chili, tomato, brinjal, and other vegetables. Wavar aims to bring IPM to 1 million acres of farmland, focusing on key crops such as chili, turmeric, cotton, tomato, onion, pomegranate, watermelon, mango, and banana.

The new IPM accessibility campaign can build on Wavar’s recent field learnings and partnerships to extend its profile into a broader national framework. Through this expansion, Wavar can connect its on ground successes with a stronger distribution ecosystem that is capable of delivering both innovation and technical support to farmers at a large scale.

Standardising IPM practices, facilitating consistent farmer training, and promoting low-residue, export-quality produce across India’s key agri-belts will help the company expand its portfolio to deliver a successful campaign. With an ambitious goal of reaching 1 million acres, the campaign represents more than a distribution drive, it reflects a shift toward a scalable rural enterprise model that integrates technology, entrepreneurship, and sustainability under Wavar’s larger vision of ‘Har Gaon IPM.’

The campaign underscores the growing role of rural entrepreneurship in driving India’s sustainable agri-transformation. It also signals a shift in India’s agri-input ecosystem, where localized innovation and empowered distribution networks together aim to redefine sustainability in rural markets.
