AgroFresh Solutions, a company that provides to preserve the quality and extend the shelf life of fresh produce for growers, packers, and retailers, has announced new partnerships with Aerobotics and Neolithics to expand its FreshCloud digital platform.The collaborations aim to connect orchard level insights with post-harvest quality management, improving how fresh produce is monitored and assessed across the supply chain.
The FreshCloud system brings together data from orchards, packhouses, and transport points to help reduce losses and maintain quality.
The platform uses AI, data analytics, and sensor technology to monitor produce quality from the orchard to the market. It provides real-time data on factors like ethylene, CO2 levels, and fruit maturity to help customers make informed decisions and optimize inventory management.
AgroFresh Taps Aerobotics for Data-Driven Insights
With the addition of Aerobotics and Neolithics technologies, the platform will be able to integrate tools that analyze fruit characteristics, detect defects, and measure quality without damaging produce.
AgroFresh has partnered with Aerobotics to integrate the company’s TrueFruit modules into its FreshCloud platform, adding AI-driven orchard and packhouse analytics to its post-harvest ecosystem.

Using computer vision and smartphone-based imagery, the technology helps growers measure fruit size, color, and quality with greater precision, while also improving harvest planning through accurate forecasting, blemish detection, and color grading.
The integration may potetnitally allows users to track standardized quality data from orchard to packhouse and access yield information in a single dashboard. According to Aerobotics, early commercial users have reported higher packouts and improved planning efficiency.
Quality Control with Neolithics
Neolithics brings AI-based imaging tools that enable large-scale, non-destructive fruit inspection, from small berries to larger fruits like avocados. The system analyses each piece for internal and external quality, including parameters such as sweetness and acidity, at industrial speeds.

The technology enables high-throughput inspection, processing from one kilogram per minute for berries to more than six tons per hour for avocados, while scanning each fruit for both internal and external quality. It measures key parameters such as brix, acidity, and dry matter, and detects hidden surface or internal defects, all with accuracy levels reported above 90%, without damaging the produce.
