Chemicals startup, Scimplify, has rolled out a detailed restructuring of its Agro Business vertical with an emphasis on strengthening internal coordination, accelerating execution, and bringing greater organisational clarity across its agrochemical and fertilizer portfolios. The new structure, effective immediately, is designed to build a more agile, performance driven organisation and includes the appointment of Sudheer Kumar as CEO, Agro Chemicals to lead strategy and growth for the division.
The company confirmed that this redesigned framework is intended to streamline decision flows, sharpen functional roles, and strengthen accountability across all pillars of its agrochemical and fertilizer operations. The transition process is already underway, with HR scheduled to release updated reporting alignments over the next week to facilitate smooth handovers across teams, functions, and regions.
Sudheer Kumar Appointed as CEO
At the core of the reorganisation is the appointment of Sudheer Kumar as CEO, Agro Chemicals. He now assumes full responsibility for the agrochemicals vertical, overseeing strategy, execution, and business growth across domestic and international markets. With more than fifteen years of experience in agrochemicals, pesticides, and agribusiness across India and global markets, he brings a deep understanding of technical portfolios, commercial operations, and the evolving agri input ecosystem.
Scimplify underscored that his leadership spans the entire agrochemical value chain, ranging from intermediates and technicals to formulations and branded offerings. He leads a 150 plus member team working across India and more than twenty export markets, reinforcing the organisation’s multi market approach to scale, customer engagement, and product innovation. His role is closely aligned with the company’s wider portfolio, which includes specialty chemicals, pharma intermediates, flame retardants, flavors and fragrances, food ingredients, industrial chemicals, and paints/coatings. Scimplify’s geographic footprint covers India, Dubai, the USA, Indonesia, and Western Africa, with expansion plans already charted for China.
Revised Leadership Mandates Across the Agro Business Unit
The restructuring introduces a refreshed set of leadership responsibilities under the Agro Business vertical. Harshwardhan Pathak will now oversee India Business, anchoring domestic engagement and operational delivery. Tajender Chawla has been assigned Growth & Strategy, focusing on forward looking initiatives and strategic expansion. Mohanish Dusariya will lead the Fertilizer Business, ensuring dedicated ownership of fertilizer production, commercial operations, and market development. Sunil Bishnoi will direct International Business, reinforcing Scimplify’s global presence across export markets.

His responsibilities have spanned multiple business functions, including the development of the agrochemical ecosystem through intermediates, technicals, formulations, and branded solutions. His portfolio includes work with more than 120 agri brands across India, supported by tech enabled supply chain systems, in-house innovation platforms, and collaborative manufacturing partnerships backed by global private equity investors.
His career vision emphasises building next generation molecules in India and developing global intellectual property to position the country as a science driven hub for agri and specialty chemicals. His educational background includes a PGDM in Agri Business Management from MANAGE Hyderabad, a BSc in Agriculture from PDKV Akola, and a General Management Programme from IIM Kozhikode. He has highlighted continued interest in collaborating with industry counterparts, investors, and institutions committed to advancing India’s role in agrochemical and specialty chemical innovation.
