California-based agritech company AdeptAg has entered into a one-year strategic collaboration with Danish moving gutter systems (MGS) solutions provider Fyns Gartnerimaskiner (FGM) to provide delivery and service solutions for the controlled environment agriculture (CEA) sector.

The partnership aims to expand access to greenhouse structures and integrated growing solutions for commercial greenhouse operators across North America by aligning sales, engineering, and project delivery capabilities. AdeptAg and FGM will coordinate closely on project development, sales engagement, and technical execution, with the aim of simplifying collection and delivery for greenhouse operators seeking turnkey or expansion-ready solutions.

As per AdeptAg leadership, North American leafy green, vegetable, and herb producers face the challenge of finding reliable growing systems that keep them competitive in the market for years to come. By partnering with FGM, the company aims to provide comprehensive market solutions that can maintain and service technologies throughout its lifecycle.

Currently, many users of moving gutter systems lack a North American team of domestic service personnel, and when issues arise, they are dependent on remote support from companies an ocean away. If a grower purchases an FGM system from AdeptAg, they can trust that we will be there on-site when service is required.
David Stienes, CEO, AdeptAg

Under the collaboration, AdeptAg will serve as the exclusive North American distributor for FGM’s grow systems and various FGM-manufactured horticultural equipment, with the aim of providing growers across the continent with their solutions. AdeptAg’s network of companies including Agrinomix, Zwart Irrigation, and Plantech Controls will also contribute to these projects.

Project Delivery and Service

Through this partnership, growers will gain access to technological solutions and services provided by FGM and AdeptAg respectively. From system design and installation to ongoing maintenance and support, AdeptAg aims to deliver long-term value for growers’ investment.

The collaboration is designed to support a range of greenhouse project types, including new builds and facility expansions, with a focus on adaptation for regional market requirements. FGM’s moving gutter system is used in CEA to support more efficient use of greenhouse space through adjustable plant spacing over the growing cycle.

AdeptAg’s comprehensive offerings include irrigation systems, water treatment, seeding, propagation, transplanting, harvesting equipment, UL/CSA electrical designs and installations, as well as controls for semi- and fully automated solutions. After 40 years in the greenhouse industry, I trust that AdeptAg will continue to deliver the highest level of customer service that so many North American growers have come to expect.
Jeff Warschauer, Director, Sales, FGM North America

The system applies flow-compensated fertigation to deliver controlled volumes of water and nutrients, with drainage collected and treated for reuse, which can substantially reduce overall water consumption compared with open-field cultivation and prevent environmental runoff. Its modular design allows configurations to be adapted to different crops, greenhouse layouts, and production requirements, with operational support provided to enable consistent use over time.

According to FGM, formal cooperation was the logical next step after many successful years of collaboration with AdeptAg on various projects in North America. For FGM, the partnership represents best of both worlds for the growers, advanced technologies and exceptional North American service.

Localized Support in CEA Systems

The collaboration between AdeptAg and FGM reflects a broader shift in the North American controlled environment agriculture sector toward integrated delivery and localized service models. As greenhouse operations scale and adopt more specialized infrastructure, growers increasingly seek suppliers that can coordinate engineering, installation, and after-sales support through a single channel, reducing operational complexity and project risk.

By combining FGM’s moving gutter systems with AdeptAg’s established regional network, the partnership addresses a longstanding gap in domestic technical support for imported greenhouse technologies. Localized servicing and lifecycle management may improve system uptime and reduce reliance on remote troubleshooting, which has been a common constraint for growers using European equipment.

More broadly, the agreement signals growing demand for expansion-ready greenhouse solutions that balance productivity, water efficiency, and long-term operability. Such partnerships are likely to play a key role as North American producers respond to competitive pressures and evolving sustainability expectations.
