In a move aimed at advancing localized food production and addressing regional food security challenges, Malaysia based agrotech company, Agroz, has partnered with US based Harvest Today to introduce the Agroz Groz Wall, a scalable vertical farming system designed for efficient indoor cultivation using minimal water and zero pesticides. The collaboration brings together Agroz’s integrated agtech expertise and Harvest Today’s patented Harvest Wall technology to enable farms, hotels, restaurants, cafés, and schools to grow fresh produce closer to the point of consumption.
The collaboration was officially unveiled at the Future Food-AgTech Festival (FFF2025) held at the Oval Concourse, New Wing, 1 Utama Shopping Centre, where the Agroz Groz Wall was showcased. The launch event was witnessed by Datuk Seri Isham Ishak, Secretary General at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security of Malaysia.
Collaboration for Localized Food Production
Agroz will integrate Harvest Today’s grow system as a key component in developing the Agroz Groz Wall. The product will be made available to a wide range of clients including farms, hotels, restaurants, cafes, and schools. The collaboration aims to bring innovative indoor growing systems closer to consumers, promoting locally grown, fresh produce and supporting Malaysia’s food security objectives.
This collaboration underscores our vision of bringing Agroz’s freshest, nutrient rich, clean and pesticide free vegetables closest to where they are consumed, in hopes of making farm-to-plate a reality through food innovation and sustainability.
Harvest Today’s Grow System
Harvest Today’s system offers a simple yet highly engineered approach to indoor growing, enabling communities to cultivate food locally and harvest crops directly from the stem. The Harvest Wall allows plants and vegetables to grow using 97% less water in a pesticide free, controlled environment. This approach enhances food accessibility and supports community involvement in sustainable food cultivation.
The system has been designed to make indoor growing simple and accessible, encouraging individuals and groups to engage in community style gardening. Whether at home or in public spaces, the Harvest Wall can serve as a functional addition to grow fresh produce daily, promoting a healthier and more sustainable food culture.
Scalable Design for Diverse Spaces
According to the Harvest Today, the key attributes of the Harvest Wall is its scalability. It can be adapted to fit a wide range of spaces, from large commercial setups to compact urban environments, reducing the need for extensive farmland. The system accommodates various food consumption patterns, catering to both children and adults.
The structure features remote controlled water flow through an integrated Vertigation system, which enables users to automate and monitor the watering schedule via the Harvest Today App. The app also sends low water notifications, making the process efficient and user friendly.

Additionally, the ‘click ’n lock’ design of the Harvest Wall simplifies assembly, allowing users to customize the wall size and number of tiles as per their requirements. This feature makes it easy for individuals or organizations to set up their grow walls without the need for complex technical expertise.
Addressing Food Security and Sustainability
The introduction of the Agroz Groz Wall comes at a crucial time for Malaysia and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) region, which depend heavily on imports for fresh produce. Localized vertical farming solutions like the Groz Wall are expected to reduce dependence on imports, enhance food system resilience, and lower carbon emissions by shortening the supply chain from farm to plate.
The company also believes that the Agroz Groz Wall will enable pesticide free, high yield cultivation while utilizing minimal water and space, making it an environmentally sustainable solution for urban and semi urban settings. The product will be offered across ASEAN markets, expanding Agroz’s footprint in regional food innovation.
We are proud to bring the “Harvest Wall” to Southeast Asia with Agroz. Our goal is to demonstrate that vertical farming can thrive in tropical markets when you apply practical thinking and solid designs.
Agroz’s Market Milestone
In addition to unveiling the Agroz Groz Wall, Agroz was recently listed on the Nasdaq Capital Market, where it trades under the ticker symbol “AGRZ.” According to the company, Agroz is the first Southeast Asian agricultural technology company to conduct an initial public offering (IPO) on the Nasdaq stock exchange, marking its entry into the global investment landscape.
The collaboration between Agroz and Harvest Today marks a forward step toward addressing regional food security challenges through scalable, sustainable, and locally adaptable agricultural technologies, offering a glimpse into the future of urban food production across Southeast Asia.
