Ecorobotix Secures $105M to Scale AI Powered Plant-by-Plant Platform

Ecorobotix, a Swiss-based company focused on AI driven precision agriculture, has secured US$105 million in a Series D funding round to accelerate the global expansion of its Plant-by-Plant technology and introduce its latest agricultural innovation at Agritechnica 2025 in Hanover this November. The funding round was led by Highland Europe, with participation from ECBF and McWin Capital Partners through the McWin Food Tech Fund.

With this latest round, Ecorobotix’s total funding now stands at US$ 150 million, following a US$ 45 million Series C raise in 2024. The investment will enable the company to scale its ultra high precision spraying technology, enhance product development, and expand into new crop segments and markets.

Precision Agriculture at the Core

At the center of Ecorobotix’s progress is its proprietary Plant-by-Plant AI technology. This system enables the recognition and treatment of individual plants with a spray footprint of only a few centimeters, ensuring precise application and optimal efficiency. By applying crop protection products only where necessary, the technology reduces pesticide and input use by up to 95% while maintaining efficacy.

For farmers, the benefits extend beyond environmental impact. The solution allows the safe use of non-selective products, helps reduce overall input costs, and ensures compliance with tightening agricultural regulations. Additionally, improved precision contributes to better crop health and higher yields, aligning with global sustainability and food productivity goals.

Fueling Growth Through Strategic Investment

The company’s recent financial success has been powered by strong investor confidence. The Series D funding round was led by Highland Europe, a leading European venture capital firm, with participation from ECBF and McWin Capital Partners through the McWin Food Tech Fund.

According to Dominique Mégret, CEO of Ecorobotix, the investment is pivotal to scaling the company’s mission.

These latest investment rounds have allowed us to accelerate our innovation, expand into new crop types, broaden our product range, and bring our advanced crop algorithms to market faster. Thanks to the trust of our investors, we are scaling a proven solution to help deliver better quality food for the world.

Mégret noted that the upcoming launch directly addresses the evolving challenges in the agricultural sector, saying that farmers today face rising costs, labor shortages, and pressure to reduce inputs while still producing more food, and that the new innovation takes precision even further to help them meet those challenges.

Agritechnica 2025: A Global Stage for Agricultural Technology

Agritechnica, organized by the German Agricultural Society (DLG), is among the world’s most prominent trade fairs for agricultural machinery and technology. Held biennially in Hanover, the 2025 edition will take place from November 9 to 15 under the theme “Touch. Smart. Efficiency.” highlighting how digital tools, automation, and precision systems can enhance efficiency and sustainability across global farming practices.

The event will feature a Digital Farm Center focused on robotics, artificial intelligence, and precision agriculture, alongside the Systems & Components exhibition, which showcases the technical backbone of modern machinery, from electronics and hydraulics to alternative power systems. The fair will bring together global stakeholders, offering a comprehensive view of how innovation is shaping the next era of sustainable, data driven agriculture.

With a total of US$ 150 million in new funding and continued investor confidence, Ecorobotix is strengthening its role in enabling sustainable, high efficiency agriculture. The company’s Plant-by-Plant technology continues to redefine precision in crop treatment, offering tangible benefits in cost efficiency, resource conservation, and productivity. As it prepares to unveil its next generation of innovation at Agritechnica, Ecorobotix moves forward with a clear focus on empowering farmers to meet global food demands with smarter, more sustainable practices.
