KhetiBuddy Launches SaaS Platform Verdnt for Agri Food Supply Chains

KhetiBuddy, a global agritech startup working with agri food supply chains, has announced the launch of Verdnt, a next generation enterprise SaaS platform designed to serve as an AI native backbone for mid to large agribusinesses operating across complex and fragmented supply chains. The launch reflects the company’s strategic direction as it deepens its focus on enterprise grade software for agri food businesses managing geographically dispersed farms, markets, and supplier networks.

Verdnt is positioned as an enterprise data backbone that connects agronomy, operations, and sustainability workflows. By integrating farm level data directly into procurement, production planning, inventory management, and sustainability dashboards, the platform is intended to support more integrated decision making within agribusiness organizations.

Addressing visibility gaps in agri food operations

Agribusinesses increasingly operate across wide and diverse geographies, often relying on systems that offer limited visibility into on ground farming practices. This fragmented approach can result in gaps in farm level traceability, constraints in assessing climate and production risks, and added complexity in contract compliance and execution. Verdnt is designed to address these challenges by unifying data flows from farms into enterprise systems, enabling a shift from retrospective reporting toward more proactive, data driven operational planning.

The platform is built for mid sized to large agri food businesses, including food and beverage companies, agri input firms, and large enterprises for which farm data visibility plays a role in both operational and regulatory decision making. Rather than functioning as a standalone tool, Verdnt emphasizes consistent and auditable data movement from the farm level to enterprise workflows.

AI built on structured enterprise data

Verdnt’s AI capabilities are layered on an existing enterprise backbone that captures structured data across farm operations, sustainability metrics, and business processes. This structure allows AI to be introduced progressively for use cases such as risk identification and decision support, while maintaining transparency and human oversight. According to the company, the models deployed within Verdnt are trained on agronomic, climate, and compliance related datasets, with an emphasis on producing outputs that are explainable and auditable.

This approach is intended to ensure that AI driven insights remain closely aligned with enterprise governance requirements, particularly in areas related to compliance, sustainability reporting, and operational risk management.

Company perspective and enterprise experience

Commenting on the launch, Vinay Nair, Founder and CEO of KhetiBuddy, said that Verdnt reflects the company’s long term focus on embedding farm intelligence within core enterprise systems. He noted that while agri food operations generate large volumes of data, much of it remains disconnected from business decision making, and Verdnt is designed to integrate this intelligence into everyday enterprise operations rather than treating it as a separate reporting layer.

Verdnt represents our long-term direction towards building an AI-native SaaS backbone for agribusinesses. Agri-food generates vast amounts of data, but much of it remains disconnected from enterprise decision-making. Our focus with Verdnt is to create a system where farm intelligence becomes part of core business operations rather than a standalone reporting exercise.

Verdnt builds on KhetiBuddy’s existing enterprise deployments across food companies, wineries, and agri input businesses, where its software has been used for farm digitisation, sustainability reporting, and compliance readiness. The company said recent pilots conducted in North America and Europe have further demonstrated the platform’s ability to integrate farm and sustainability data into established enterprise environments.

Positioning farm data within enterprise systems

With the launch of Verdnt, KhetiBuddy is seeking to establish a common operational and intelligence layer for agri food enterprises, positioning farm data as a core component of enterprise systems. The platform is intended to support organizations managing complex supply chains by aligning on-ground farm intelligence with enterprise level planning, compliance, and sustainability requirements.
