Hyderabad-based agritech firm Growero Technologies has unveiled an innovative AI-driven pest forecast platform named ‘Grow iX’.
This web and mobile application leverages artificial intelligence (AI), historical weather data, and remote sensing technology to deliver real-time, crop-specific pest and weather forecasts for the upcoming 15-20 days. Devendra Dasari, Managing Director of Growero, explained that Grow iX will enable farmers to anticipate potential pest attacks and implement preventive measures, thereby safeguarding their crops and enhancing yields.
To support this initiative, Growero has mobilized a team of 4,000 members to educate farmers across India on the effective use of the application. Complementing the Grow iX platform, Growero has also introduced a new product line called ‘Eco Booster,’ which aims to reduce water usage in farms by up to 50%. This line features four products – Kratos, Esenta, Sunex, and Duzor – developed in collaboration with agricultural scientists from the US, Netherlands, and South Africa.
These products are designed to mitigate abiotic stress in crops, further boosting yields. Growero’s pioneering solutions underscore the company’s dedication to revolutionizing the agricultural sector through the fusion of advanced technology and sustainable practices.
