IFPRI, ICIMOD Unite to Drive Climate-Smart Agriculture in Hindu Kush Himalaya Region

In a new collaboration, International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) and International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) have announced a partnership to bolster climate-smart agricultural practices in the Hindu Kush Himalaya region.

Expertise of IFPRI in food policy at play

This strategic alliance aims to address the escalating challenges posed by climate change in one of the world’s most vulnerable mountain ecosystems. By leveraging IFPRI’s expertise in food policy and ICIMOD’s knowledge of sustainable mountain development, the partnership will promote innovative farming techniques, resource management, and policy frameworks tailored to the region’s unique needs.

The initiative will focus on enhancing the resilience of local communities, ensuring food security, and preserving biodiversity.
