Intello Labs, a Gurugram-based homegrown agri-supply automation company, has received its first European order for its Intello Fruit Packer, giving a strong push to ‘Make in India vision’. The announcement was made by the company on its LinkedIn page, sharing that this is the company’s first international deployment in automated fruit packing.
The Intello Fruit Packer uses artificial intelligence, machine learning and computer vision to help fruit growers pack their produce — reducing wastage, costs, while gaining consistency, and expanding the scale of market for their product. Fruit packaging is a highly labor intensive and time sensitive exercise and by automating the process with a speed up to 100 fruits per minute, significant headways are being made. The company prides itself in delivering CE-certified and 100% food-grade materials for global market.
Intello Labs: Securing Patents
This international order follows another major development for Intello Labs last month, when the company was granted a patent for its AI-powered system to sort agricultural produce. The patented technology automates the traditionally manual and error-prone process of fruit and vegetable sorting, using advanced computer vision and AI. By enabling precision sorting, faster farm-to-fork delivery, and greater quality assurance, the system supports a more transparent and efficient supply chain — benefitting farmers, retailers, and consumers alike.
The company, also secured a patent for its innovative ‘System to Weigh and Pack Agricultural Products,’ earlier this year. The solution addresses critical challenges in the fresh produce supply chain, such as manual inaccuracies, inefficiencies, and trust gaps, paving the way for improved operational excellence.

Founded in 2016, Intello Labs strives to transform the agri-supply chain through use of advanced AI technology, by mitigating major shortcomings in the farm-to-fork model. As per co-founder Milan Sharma, Intello Labs was envisioned to bring transparency to the food and Agri supply chain by digitizing food quality using AI and machine learning technology.
Throughout his years of experience in tech industry with Snapdeal, Evalueserve, and AbsolutData, Sharma has gained hands on experience in areas of Big Data analytics, solution-oriented problem hacking, Machine Learning, Pricing and Promotion for Retail, E-commerce, and Account Management.
According to Tracxn, Intello labs has raised a total of $16.6M over 11 funding rounds: 5 Seed, 5 Early-Stage and 1 Grant (prize money) rounds. Intello labs’ largest funding round so far was a Series A round for $5.9M in Apr 2020, led by Saama Capital.
Many industry experts have hailed the company’s first international order. Sachin Sharma, Co-Founder at Moonbeam Ventures Global Corp Infrastructure, the expansion in automated fruit packaging will lead to revaluation of scale and technology in the Indian Horticulture Industry. “Automated fruit packing in large Indian packhouses could be a game-changer in improving speed, consistency, and traceability. Time to rethink scale and tech adoption in Indian horticulture. Let’s explore how we can do some real time trials with Indian apples on this equipment in our pack houses,” he said.
