Wavar, an Indian agritech company, has announced a strategic partnership with Kamdar Agro Research & Development (KARD), Indore, to drive a technology-enabled expansion of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) across Madhya Pradesh. The collaboration will combine Wavar’s suite of eco-friendly pest management products with digital traceability tools, precision data systems, and farmer-training modules designed to cut input costs by up to 40%, boost productivity, and strengthen soil and food health outcomes.
The initiative represents a major agritech-led intervention in one of India’s most vital agricultural states, aligning with national priorities such as Natural Farming and PM-PRANAM that promote low-chemical, sustainable cultivation. Through this partnership, Wavar aims to demonstrate how digital integration and field-based innovation can make sustainable farming both scalable and profitable for rural communities.
The formal announcement, made in the presence Sanjay Patidar and Kamlesh Patidar from KARD, reflects Wavar’s broader objective to make sustainable, residue free pest management more accessible to farming communities across the country.
Madhya Pradesh occupies a central position in India’s agricultural ecosystem, recognised for its extensive cultivation of soybean, pulses, wheat and oilseeds. The state has been identified as a focal geography under national programmes such as Natural Farming and PM-PRANAM, both of which promote low chemical farming practices and enhanced soil health. Against this backdrop, Wavar’s entry is aligned with ongoing efforts to shift the state toward sustainable agricultural models while improving the economic resilience of farmers. The timing also corresponds with a broader push to strengthen environmentally conscious farming systems within the state’s supply chain.
State Wide IPM Deployment Through Joint Execution
As part of the collaboration, Wavar and KARD will jointly roll out IPM solutions across major agricultural belts in the state, with initial focus areas including Indore, Dhar, Ratlam, Shajapur and Sehore. The first phase of implementation is projected to impact more than one lakh farmers. The joint plan covers the introduction of Wavar’s full portfolio of eco friendly pest management products, extensive field level training programmes, and digital traceability systems designed to create more transparent and efficient farm operations. These systems enable farmers to reduce input costs by up to forty percent, elevate productivity metrics and sustain soil quality while ensuring a healthier food production pipeline.
Joy Chakraborty, Co-founder, Wavar, emphasised the strategic relevance of Madhya Pradesh in the company’s national roadmap. He highlighted that the state represents both an operational opportunity and a purpose driven initiative, noting that agricultural advancement becomes durable when sustainability is aligned with scalability.
We believe that true transformation in farming happens when sustainability meets scalability. Through this partnership with KARD, we aim to build a state wide ecosystem that delivers both productivity and purpose, where every farmer can grow profitably while protecting the land for future generations.
Technology, Community Engagement and Rural Penetration
Wavar’s implementation model integrates technology led practices with community centric approaches. The partnership will leverage platforms such as Wavar Mitra and Wavar Saheli, which are designed to strengthen grassroots engagement, local ownership and entrepreneurship within rural clusters. These localised networks support deeper penetration across villages and help farmers receive continuous advisory support. Complementing these efforts, Wavar’s data driven processes will enable farmers and distribution partners to track adoption patterns, crop performance indicators and field level outcomes. The traceability features are structured to reinforce accountability and cultivate transparency across the entire agricultural value chain.

Echoing this perspective, Sanjay Shirodkar, Co-founder, Wavar, stated that the partnership underlines the organisation’s larger vision with the objective of extending Integrated Pest Management to every village in India. He pointed out that Madhya Pradesh’s diverse cropping environment and responsive agricultural landscape make it an ideal state for deploying science backed pest management models that enhance both economic outcomes and long term farm resilience. He also noted that the collaboration illustrates how systematic, research driven pest control frameworks can strengthen operational efficiency for farming communities.
Our partnership with KARD reflects our larger vision of ‘Har Gaon IPM’ – to bring Integrated Pest Management to every village in India. With Madhya Pradesh’s vast farming diversity and progressive leadership, this collaboration will set a benchmark for how sustainable, science based pest management can strengthen both profitability and resilience for farmers.
Enhanced National Presence Through State Expansion
Wavar’s national operations currently span over ten states, with a network that includes collaborations with more than one hundred FPOs and NGOs and outreach to several lakh farmers. The expansion into Madhya Pradesh serves to consolidate its broader presence across India’s IPM domain and aligns with the country’s long term agricultural objectives focused on sustainable, self reliant farming systems.
The partnership with KARD positions Wavar to strengthen its operational bandwidth and deliver structured support across a state known for its agricultural depth, ensuring continuity in its mission to scale accessible, science based pest management for farming communities nationwide.
