AutoNxt Automation has launched India’s first electric self driving tractor which is set to transform the farming industry. The new electric tractor promises to deliver versatility and power necessary for a wide range of farming and haulage activities while offering a sustainable and efficient alternative to traditional diesel tractors.
The electric tractor provide robust capabilities with zero emissions and reduced operational cost. This eco-friendly tractor is equipped with a 32KW motor and a 35KWh battery, offering up to 8 hours of operational capacity on a single charge. It features advanced hydraulics and automated steering for enhanced usability and efficiency.
Smart technologies like Crop Health Analysis, are utilized to optimize farming practices and enhance crop management. The tractor’s battery is designed as a smart swappable module that is capable of enduring the high-torque conditions typical in agriculture.

The launch event took place at Talao Pali Lake Side, Thane on 15th of August 2024. The ceremony was attended by Maharashtra’s Chief Minister, Eknath Shinde, who highlighted the transformative potential of electric tractors in farming, reflecting Maharashtra’s dedication to promoting electric vehicles and innovative agricultural practices. The electric tractor aligns with the Maharashtra Electric Vehicle Policy, 2021 that aims to bring a transition in the transportation ecosystem.
Naresh Mhaske, MP of Thane, Dr. Shrikanth Shinde, MP of Kalyan and Pratap Sarnaik, MLA of Thane, Ovla, and Mira Bhayander also attended the ceremony. The highlight of the event was a live demonstration of the electric tractor by the state CM, showcasing its performance and advanced features.
