Farmer’s City to Reach 140M Farmers with Digital Solutions

AVPL International’s agricultural services platform, Farmer’s City, aims to reach 140 million farmers across India by utilizing next-generation digital solutions to enhance farming practices and boost agricultural productivity nationwide.

The platform’s multifaceted strategy includes integrating physical franchise stores with a digital marketplace, launching a “Drone as a Service” program, and expanding its retail store network, among other services.

Blending Physical and Digital Marketplace

According to AVPL, Farmer’s City blends physical franchise stores with a digital marketplace to provide a comprehensive solution, enhancing farmers’ access to resources and innovations. The platform provides farmers with access to an extensive array of products and services, such as fertilizers, pesticides, and advanced machinery.

This integration ensures that farmers receive high-quality, authentic products while benefiting from cutting-edge technology. Additionally, farmers will have access to expert advice, enabling them to buy and sell the services at reasonable prices from anywhere and anytime.

Launching New Retail Stores

According to the company, Farmer’s City is preparing to launch new retail stores in Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat. These stores will serve as local centres for farmer training, supply transactions and the introduction of modern agricultural technologies. This expansion aims to broaden the reach of the platform’s services, ensuring more farmers benefit from its advanced solutions.

Drone as a Service (DaaS) Program

Its programme “Drone as a Service” (DaaS) provides affordable access to advanced drone technology for crop monitoring, precision spraying and data collection. This service, implemented in collaboration with Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) in Haryana, supports farmers with crops like cotton and sugarcane. Drones are revolutionizing traditional farming practices by boosting efficiency and increasing crop yields.
