DeHaat Integrates NEERX into Its Ecosystem to Enhance Agritech Capabilities for Indian Farmers

DeHaat has formally integrated NEERX, a climate focused agritech entity, into its operational ecosystem. The merger includes the assimilation of NEERX’s flagship technology, SHOOL, a soil and weather sensor system recognised among the top five globally and validated by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). SHOOL enables real-time data collection on soil moisture and climatic conditions using a combination of satellite imagery and cloud-based analytics. The integration of this technology into DeHaat’s platform now empowers farmers with data-driven insights to improve decision-making on irrigation, nutrient management, and crop planning.

The integration also includes NEERX’s founders, Nikita Tiwari and Harsh Agarwal, who have joined DeHaat’s leadership team. Their technical and operational expertise is now embedded within DeHaat’s strategy, aligning with the organisation’s aim to provide scalable digital solutions for India’s farming sector. This move is particularly timely as India’s agricultural economy, which employs 42.3% of the workforce and contributes 18.2% to the GDP, faces challenges related to climate change, input inefficiency, and sustainability.

Technology Adoption and Immediate On-Ground Impact

Following the integration, the benefits of SHOOL’s technology are already being realised. Farmers across DeHaat’s platform, which spans over 2 million users in 11 states, have begun experiencing tangible improvements in resource utilisation and productivity. The sensor system delivers actionable insights that help farmers avoid over-irrigation and excessive fertiliser use, which in turn improves crop health and reduces operational costs.

According to the company, a farmer based in Uttar Pradesh reported a 25% reduction in irrigation-related expenses within days of using the integrated solution, attributing the savings to the accuracy of soil moisture data provided by SHOOL. On a broader scale, DeHaat estimates that the technology can improve yields by up to 15%, highlighting its potential to influence agronomic outcomes across varied geographies.

Expansion of Services Through Platform Enhancement

The incorporation of NEERX’s digital capabilities has substantially enhanced DeHaat’s service portfolio. Through satellite monitoring and cloud infrastructure, the platform now supports precision agriculture by offering farmers crop-specific advisories, real-time diagnostics, and predictive weather analytics. These services are seamlessly delivered via DeHaat’s existing digital infrastructure, which includes a network of 11,000 physical centres that facilitate last-mile connectivity.

In addition to advisory services, the expanded platform enables digital onboarding of farmers, personalised crop calendars, and intelligent pest and disease alerts. These additions build upon DeHaat’s existing offerings, providing comprehensive support throughout the agricultural cycle.

Strategic Fit and Organisational Synergy

The merger also brings together DeHaat’s operational scale with NEERX’s digital intelligence, creating a unified agritech infrastructure. The expertise of NEERX’s core team has been retained through the integration, ensuring continuity and coherence in the transition process. This organisational synergy is expected to accelerate the development of next-generation tools and platforms focused on efficiency, profitability, and sustainability in farming.

By combining NEERX’s technological depth with DeHaat’s field-level execution capabilities, the organisation is positioned to bridge critical gaps in Indian agriculture, particularly in data accessibility and resource optimisation.

Alignment with Growth Milestones and Future Outlook

This merger follows DeHaat’s INR 200 crore funding round in April 2025 and is aligned with its long-term growth roadmap. The company had earlier acquired other assets to strengthen its platform and has now exceeded its farmer outreach targets by expanding its user base to over 12 million. With a 40% year-on-year increase in operating revenue reported for FY24, reaching INR 2,700 crore, DeHaat has set a target of INR 3,500 crore for FY25.

Looking ahead, DeHaat plans to expand operations to new states including Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana. In parallel, the company is also exploring additional acquisitions, particularly in the domain of biological agricultural inputs, to further reinforce its sustainability agenda.

The integration of NEERX comes at a time when the 2025–26 Union Budget places emphasis on digital interventions in agriculture. DeHaat’s expanded platform now aligns closely with these national priorities by offering digital-first, data-backed solutions that cater to the evolving needs of Indian farmers. This consolidation enhances DeHaat’s ability to deliver value not just at scale, but also with the granularity required for region-specific agricultural support.

Through this integration, DeHaat consolidates its role in delivering precision agriculture to millions, leveraging NEERX’s validated tools and domain knowledge to deepen impact across India’s agrarian economy.
